We are focusing on another primary producer in our Meet The Makers series this week.
Oldway Farm are focused on providing organically raised, grass fed beef of the highest quality. They take pride in the produce they create with love and care.
Oldway Farm practice regenerative farming, which simply put, means doing no harm to the environment, leading to healthier soil producing high quality, nutrient dense food. These practices simultaneously improve, rather than degrade the environment.
Oldway Farm have made it their mission to deliver export quality beef to the plates of everyday Tasmanians at an affordable price. The cattle roam the hills and flatlands of the West Tamar enjoying quality feed in a natural environment. The cattle roam this lush feeding ground from birth to harvest with no artificial growth stimulants or antibiotics. This ensure that the full flavor is developed naturally over time giving the you the best possible restaurant quality beef at home. Dealing directly with the farmer also passes on significant costs savings to the valued customer.m
They are also in the process of growing rare breed Large Black pigs, pasture raised and fed on local hazelnuts and apples. Also coming soon will be their organically grown hormone free, pasture run chickens. We can’t wait to taste both of these!
Luke, Mel and Ellijah are at Providore Place every second and fourth Sunday of the month with their beautiful beef in all your favourite cuts. You can see this meat is top quality by its beautiful colour. Their beef sausages are made completely naturally with quality beef, herbs and spices. Don’t forget to have a taste of their amazing salami and chorizo too!
We are so fortunate to have these top-quality local producers at our Sunday Markets. Have a chat to them, they are passionate about their beef and will be very happy to answer all your questions. Come and ask them how you can enjoy all the benefits of real beef the way it was meant to be and save money in the process.
